Privacy notice

Last updated: 23 October 2026. What we collect, why, who processes it, how long we keep it, and your rights.

Who we are

This notice covers africaneurobonds.com (“the site”) and its e-mails, operated from the United Kingdom under the name African Eurobonds, 167–169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London W1W 5PF. Questions or requests about your data: contact@africaneurobonds.com, or the contact page.

Using the site

You do not need an account and we ask for no personal information to use the site. It sets no advertising or tracking cookies. A cookieless analytics service counts page views and visits in aggregate (for example, how many people viewed a page and from which country); it does not identify you.

The site counts a few anonymous events in aggregate (for example, how often a country tab or the calculator is used). These counts hold no personal data.

Like any website, our hosting providers (Vercel for the pages, Render for the data service) keep standard technical logs, which include IP addresses, for security and operation, for a limited period.

Our e-mails

What we hold: your e-mail address, which e-mails you chose (the daily close, the weekly summary or both), the date you signed up and confirmed, and the language of the page you signed up on. Brevo also records whether each e-mail we send you was opened and which links in it were clicked.

Why, and on what basis: to send you the e-mails you asked for, and to learn which parts of them readers find useful. The legal basis is your consent, given by ticking the e-mails you want and confirming by e-mail (double opt-in). You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every e-mail, or by writing to us.

Who holds it for us: the list is kept and the e-mails are sent by Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France), which processes the data on our behalf and stores it in the European Union. Your address is not stored anywhere else by us, and it is never sold or shared with anyone else.

Opens and clicks: an e-mail is counted as opened when your e-mail program loads a small image in it; a click is counted when you follow a link. Both are linked to your address in Brevo. We use them only to see what readers find useful — never to build profiles for anyone else, and never shared. If your e-mail program blocks images, no open is recorded.

How long: until you unsubscribe. After that your address is removed from the lists; Brevo keeps a record that it unsubscribed, only so that it is never e-mailed again.

If you write to us

Messages to contact@africaneurobonds.com are forwarded by Cloudflare’s e-mail routing to an inbox hosted by Google. We use your message and address only to reply and to deal with what you raised, and keep them only as long as that needs.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive a copy. Write to contact@africaneurobonds.com. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or to the data protection authority where you live.

Changes

If what we collect or how we use it changes, this page changes first, with its date. The Terms (clause 12) summarise it.
